Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 05, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Niuro SpA ("Niuro," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in Chile, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our recruitment platform, websites, and related services (the "Services").

Niuro connects companies with technology professionals across the Americas. Because of this, we process personal data about two main groups of people: professionals (candidates and community members who create profiles or are evaluated for opportunities) and client representatives (people who use the platform on behalf of a hiring company). This policy applies to both groups, and to visitors of our public pages.

Niuro SpA is responsible for the personal data described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.

Summary of Key Points

  • What we collect. Account and contact details, professional information (CVs, work history, education, skills, salary expectations), audio and video from AI-conducted interviews and their transcripts, AI-generated assessments of your profile, and technical/usage data.
  • How we use it. Primarily to match professionals with job opportunities, including the use of artificial intelligence to parse CVs, conduct and analyze interviews, and score and rank candidates.
  • Automated assessment. We use AI to evaluate and rank candidates. These tools support — but do not replace — human recruiters. You can request human review of automated assessments.
  • Who we share with. Hiring companies you are matched with, and service providers (including AI model providers, cloud hosting, email, and analytics) that help us run the platform.
  • Where data goes. Some of our service providers are located outside Chile, including in the United States and the European Union, so your data may be transferred internationally.
  • Your rights.You can access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. See "Your Privacy Rights" below.

1. What Data Do We Collect?

Data you provide to us

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and profile picture when you register or sign in with Google.
  • Professional profile: your CV or resume, work experience, education, skills, languages, certifications, awards, publications, patents, projects, portfolio and external links, and any summary or biography you provide.
  • Job preferences: desired roles, availability, and salary expectations.
  • Communications: messages you exchange through the platform, and information you share when you contact support or respond to surveys.

Interview audio, video, and transcripts

Part of our Services includes interviews conducted by an AI interviewer and, in some cases, meetings with recruiters. When you take part in these:

  • We capture and store audio and/or video of the interview and generate a written transcript.
  • We use these recordings and transcripts to evaluate your candidacy, generate assessments and summaries, and share relevant results with the hiring company, as described below.

You are told before an AI interview begins, and your participation is your choice. If you do not wish to be recorded, you may decline, although this may prevent you from continuing with certain selection processes.

Assessments we generate about you

Using the information above, we and our AI tools generate assessment data about you — for example skill scores, interview scores, match and ranking scores, suitability summaries, and interview feedback. This assessment data is personal data about you and is covered by this policy and by your rights below.

Data we collect automatically

When you use the Services, we automatically collect technical and usage data, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language preferences, referring pages, and information about how you interact with the platform (pages viewed, features used, and date/time stamps). We collect this through our servers, cookies, and similar technologies, primarily to keep the Services secure and reliable and to understand and improve how they are used. We do not collect precise (GPS) geolocation data.

2. Professionals We Contact Proactively

To build our talent community, we may obtain professional information about technology professionals from public professional sources (such as public professional profiles) or from referrals, and we may use it to assess potential opportunities and to contact you, including by email. When we do this, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in recruitment, and we limit ourselves to professional information.

If we contact you this way, we will tell you where we are writing from and how to opt out. You may ask us at any time to stop contacting you and to delete your information using the contact details below. We do not purchase personal data for advertising purposes, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

3. How and Why Do We Use Your Data?

We process your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you (including via Google sign-in).
  • Match professionals with opportunities — the core of our Services — including parsing your CV, evaluating your profile, conducting and analyzing interviews, and ranking candidates for a given role.
  • Share relevant candidate information with hiring companies participating in a selection process.
  • Communicate with you about your account, selection processes, opportunities (where you have asked to receive them), and support requests. If you give your separate, optional consent, we may also contact you on WhatsApp about the selection processes you take part in and future opportunities. You can withdraw this consent at any time without affecting your use of the Services.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Services, including preventing fraud and abuse, debugging, and analytics.
  • Develop our products and technology — including training, evaluating, and improving our models, features, and algorithms, conducting research and analytics, and generating reports and insights.
  • Create de-identified and aggregated datafrom your information, which we may use and retain for any business purpose (see "De-identified and aggregated data" below).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

De-identified and aggregated data. We may transform personal data into de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated data that no longer identifies you (for example, market and salary trends, talent insights, and product analytics). We apply measures designed so that this data cannot reasonably be re-identified, and we do not attempt to re-identify it. Once data is in this form it is no longer personal data, and we may use, retain, and disclose it for any business purpose without further notice to you.

4. Our Legal Bases for Processing

We rely on the following legal bases to process personal data:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Services you sign up for, including evaluating and presenting your candidacy.
  • Consent — for example, to record AI interviews, to send you optional job-match communications, or where otherwise required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the platform, to develop our products and technology (including training and improving our models), to create de-identified and aggregated data, and to identify and contact relevant professionals, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Assessment

Artificial intelligence is central to how Niuro works. We use AI tools (provided by third-party AI model providers on our behalf) to:

  • parse and structure information from your CV;
  • conduct AI interviews and transcribe and analyze your answers;
  • generate scores, rankings, summaries, and feedback that estimate how well your profile fits a given role; and
  • assist with drafting documents and communications.

Human oversight. These assessments are decision support. Hiring decisions and advancement through a selection process involve human recruiters and the hiring company; we do not make final hiring decisions about you solely by automated means. Where automated processing would produce a legal or similarly significant effect on you, you have the right to obtain human intervention, to express your point of view, and to contest the outcome. To do so, contact us using the details below.

We may use your data — including your profile, interviews, and the assessments we generate — to develop, train, evaluate, and improve our own models, features, and algorithms. Our third-party AI providers process your data only to deliver these features on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and do not use it to train their general-purpose models except as permitted by our agreements with them.

6. When and With Whom Do We Share Data?

We share your personal data in the following cases:

  • Hiring companies. When you take part in a selection process, we share relevant profile information and assessment results (which may include interview summaries and, where relevant, recordings or transcripts) with the company running that process, so they can evaluate your candidacy.
  • Service providers (processors). We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf and under contract, including:
    • cloud hosting and object storage;
    • AI model providers (for CV parsing, interview analysis, scoring, and document generation);
    • email delivery and outreach;
    • interview scheduling;
    • workflow automation;
    • product analytics and error monitoring.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Niuro, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.

7. International Data Transfers

Niuro is based in Chile, but some of our service providers operate in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. This means your personal data may be transferred to, stored, and processed outside your country of residence. When we transfer data internationally, we take steps required by applicable law to protect it, such as contractual safeguards with our providers. By using the Services, you understand that your data may be processed in these locations.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, secure the Services, and remember your preferences. These are always on because the Services cannot function without them.

We also use a privacy-respecting product analytics tool to understand how the platform is used and improve it. When you are not signed in, these analytics run only if you accept them in our cookie banner, and stay off if you decline. When you are signed in, we run first-party product analytics as part of operating and improving the Services — a legitimate interest disclosed here — and you can opt out at any time by declining analytics in the cookie banner when it is shown or by contacting us using the details below. If you declined as a visitor, we keep analytics off after you sign in too. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

9. How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you are a professional, we may keep your profile in our talent community so we can match you with future opportunities, until you ask us to delete it.

When you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period (generally within 12 months), except where we must keep certain information longer to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements. Interview recordings and transcripts are kept only as long as needed for the relevant selection process and our legitimate recruitment purposes, and are then deleted or anonymized.

De-identified, anonymized, and aggregated data, and the insights and models derived from it, are not personal data and may be retained and used by us indefinitely, including after your account is closed.

10. How Do We Keep Your Data Safe?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data, including access controls, encryption of sensitive fields, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the competent authorities as required by law.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or outdated data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format (portability);
  • object to or restrict certain processing — including processing we carry out for our legitimate interests, such as profiling and using your data to develop and train our models;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
  • disconnect Google sign-in through your account settings; and
  • obtain human review of, and contest, decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

12. Minors

The Services are intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it and deactivate the account.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice or contact you directly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
